Channels
Are Instagram and Website Chat Available?
Instagram and website chat are not yet available on HandleHQ, and neither has an announced date. Email is the only live channel today. WhatsApp is the next channel HandleHQ is working on, and it has no launch date either. If you are deciding how to support customers today, plan around email and do not promise customers any other channel.
Current channel availability
HandleHQ’s public channel status is:
| Channel | Status |
|---|---|
| Live | |
| In progress, no launch date | |
| Not yet available | |
| Website chat | Not yet available |
Instagram and website chat are not built yet and have no announced date. WhatsApp is the only channel HandleHQ is working on next, and email is the only channel you can use today.
There is no launch date for either channel. Until HandleHQ announces a date, do not give customers one.
What you can use now
Email is the available HandleHQ channel today. Businesses that want to begin with an available channel can therefore plan around email rather than Instagram or website chat.
If you already receive customer questions by email, keep that process organized while you assess your support arrangements. General workflow suggestions include:
- Route customer questions to one clearly monitored inbox or existing email workflow.
- Note the customer’s name, contact details, and question.
- Add relevant order, appointment, booking, or service information needed to answer.
- Flag urgent requests according to your normal operating process.
- Record frequently asked questions so your team can prepare clear answers.
These are general workflow suggestions, not additional HandleHQ features. Email is the only HandleHQ channel identified as live in the current public status.
For businesses that already receive requests through Instagram or a website chat widget, keep using your existing arrangements in the meantime. Do not remove an existing tool because Instagram and website chat are not yet available on HandleHQ. Keep handling those conversations through your current process.
How to prepare for later channels
Although Instagram and website chat are not yet available and have no announced date, you can still prepare the information your customer-service process needs. Most of this preparation helps with email today, and it does not mean either channel is on the way.
Start by listing the questions customers ask most often. Depending on your business, these might concern opening hours, appointment availability, products, delivery areas, pricing policies, or cancellation rules. Use only policies and answers that your business has approved.
Next, identify the information your team needs before it can respond. This may include a customer name, contact details, request type, relevant date, and enough context to understand the question. As general business advice, keep the information consistent across your customer channels while following your own privacy and record-keeping requirements.
It can also help to decide who looks after each channel your business uses. Make sure relevant staff members know:
- Which questions need a fast response.
- Which questions need confirmation before an answer is sent.
- Which policies must not be changed without approval.
- Where conversations should be reviewed and recorded.
- How urgent issues should be escalated.
If customers already ask for support through Instagram or your website, you may prepare a general notice explaining when they should expect a reply from your team. Do not announce a HandleHQ launch date for either channel, and do not tell customers that HandleHQ answers them there.
What “not yet available” means
“Not yet available” means the channel is not built and has no date. It is not a promise that the channel will launch. WhatsApp is the next channel being worked on, and it also has no date. Until a channel is live, do not treat it as available for planning or customer-facing promises.
This distinction matters when updating your website, replying to customer messages, or preparing service materials. Continue using email and your existing support arrangements, and make changes only after a channel is confirmed as live.
HandleHQ is in early access and is onboarding its first customers. If channel timing matters to your business, email the founder for the current status rather than relying on an assumed date. The founder answers every support email and aims to reply within one business day.
