Which Channels Does HandleHQ Support?
HandleHQ lists each customer-message channel with its status. Email is Live, WhatsApp is In progress with no launch date, and Instagram and website chat are Not yet available.
Current Channel Status
Email: Live
Email is the only channel that is Live. Because it is the only live channel, every plan uses email today. If you are deciding where to begin, email is where you start.
As general advice, start by thinking about where your customers already write most often and how your team currently manages those conversations. A clear starting point can make it easier to plan a rollout and set expectations. You may also want to list the questions your team most often receives so you can check whether email is a practical place to begin.
WhatsApp: In Progress
WhatsApp is listed as In progress, so it is not currently presented as live. It is the next channel HandleHQ is working on, and there is no launch date.
If WhatsApp is important to your business, treat it as a future option to ask about rather than a channel to include in an immediate availability promise. Before making plans around it, confirm its current status directly with HandleHQ. That is especially useful if your customers already use WhatsApp heavily or if your team needs to decide how it would fit alongside email.
Instagram and Website Chat: Not Yet Available
Instagram and website chat are both Not yet available. They are not built and have no announced date.
Because these channels are not currently listed as live, describe them as not yet available rather than tell customers they can use them. If either channel matters to your business, note the questions you would like answered in case it is added later. For example, consider how you would handle customer photos, account replies, website questions, or conversations that need to move to another person.
This is general rollout advice, not a statement about any particular HandleHQ feature. The current public information identifies the channel statuses but does not set out specific workflows for Instagram or website chat, so it is best to confirm those details before building a process around them.
How to Plan Your Channel Rollout
A simple planning exercise is to separate channels into three groups:
- Available now: Email is the only channel explicitly labeled live.
- Being worked on: WhatsApp is in progress, with no launch date.
- Not yet available: Instagram and website chat are not built and have no announced date.
From there, choose one primary channel for an initial conversation rather than trying to make assumptions about every future option. Email is the most straightforward starting point based on the published status. If your business already receives messages through more than one of the other channels, keep a record of the volume, types of questions, and customer expectations for each one. Those details can help you decide what you want to discuss with HandleHQ first.
It can also help to prepare a short list of information your team already knows should guide customer replies, such as opening hours, services, policies, or other information you normally repeat. Treat this as general preparation for a customer-message system. Email is available today. You forward your business email to your own HandleHQ address using the steps in your welcome email, and no code is needed.
What Live, In Progress, and Not Yet Available Mean
The safest way to use this information is to match your plan to the published status:
- Use email when you are looking for a channel that is already available.
- Ask about WhatsApp when you want to know where the work stands. It has no launch date.
- Treat Instagram and website chat as not yet available. Neither has an announced date.
Avoid committing to a launch date or promising customers access to a channel that is not live. Instead, confirm current availability with HandleHQ before you publish plans or update your support information.
