Can I Use HandleHQ With WhatsApp?
WhatsApp is not live on HandleHQ yet. It is the next channel HandleHQ is working on, and there is no launch date. Email is the only live channel today, and you set it up yourself by forwarding your support email, with no call needed. Instagram and website chat are not yet available and have no announced date.
What is available now?
HandleHQ’s current channel status is:
- Email: Live
- WhatsApp: In progress, no launch date
- Instagram: Not yet available, no announced date
- Website chat: Not yet available, no announced date
Email is the only live channel. WhatsApp is being worked on next, and Instagram and website chat are not yet available, with no announced date.
This means you do not need to wait to begin using email with HandleHQ. You forward your business email to your own HandleHQ address using the steps in your welcome email, and no code is needed. If WhatsApp is important to your business, you can plan ahead while using email.
How will WhatsApp setup work?
HandleHQ has not published how WhatsApp setup will work, because the channel is not live and has no launch date. Today, email setup is self-serve: you follow the Gmail or Outlook steps in your welcome email, with no call and no code required.
That gives you a practical way to prepare: before you set up email, write down how you want customers to message your business, which questions your team commonly answers, and any information you expect HandleHQ to ask for. These are general preparation steps rather than HandleHQ requirements.
You can also email HandleHQ at any time to ask for the current WhatsApp status. Check directly with HandleHQ before telling customers that WhatsApp support has launched.
How can you plan while WhatsApp is in progress?
As general business advice, do not build customer communication plans around an unconfirmed launch date. If WhatsApp is an important part of your business, treat the current stage as preparation time rather than immediate availability.
Start by deciding which channel your business can actively support today. You can then prepare a simple message for customers that points them to your current contact options. If you intend to announce WhatsApp support later, wait until HandleHQ confirms that the channel is ready for your business.
It is also useful to review the conversations you receive through email. Note the questions customers ask most often, the information your team needs to answer them, and the subjects that may need special care. This does not predict how HandleHQ will handle WhatsApp messages; it simply helps you understand the communication your business already needs to manage.
Think about who should review customer questions during your normal business hours. As with any new customer communication channel, clear ownership can help prevent important messages from being missed. You can also decide how customers should be told about any future WhatsApp option and whether the announcement should appear on your website, social profiles, or other materials.
Keep those decisions flexible until availability is confirmed. A general rule is to announce a channel only when it is ready and your team knows where customers should go for help.
Questions to ask HandleHQ
If you want an update before you start, ask:
- Is WhatsApp now available for my business?
- Is there anything I should prepare before setting up email?
- Is there a launch date for WhatsApp yet?
- How will WhatsApp setup work once it launches?
- Should I continue with email while WhatsApp is being prepared?
You do not need to have every answer before contacting HandleHQ. The founder aims to reply within one business day, so the contact page is a useful place to ask for the latest availability information.
