Getting started

How Long Does Application Review Take?

Review timeline

The founder reviews every application by hand and aims to reply within one business day.

That is an aim for when to expect a reply, not a promise, and it does not mean every application will be approved. As general planning advice, allow extra time around weekends and public holidays.

If you have not heard back after more than one business day, email hello@handlehq.net rather than submitting the same application again. As general advice, keep a copy of what you submit, note the date and time, and use the same contact details when following up.

What happens after approval

After approval, HandleHQ emails you a payment link for the one-time $20 setup fee. The fee is non-refundable. Payments are processed through Stripe.

Before you pay, check the amount and the email address you are using, and save your receipt. If a payment does not seem to go through, check with your bank or card provider before contacting HandleHQ or trying to pay again.

When the free trial begins

Your 7-day free trial starts after the one-time $20 setup fee is paid. After payment, you set a password and log in to the portal. Your subscription begins after the 7-day free trial. If you cancel during the trial, the subscription is never billed.

In short, the order is:

  1. You apply with a short form, and the founder aims to reply within one business day.
  2. If the application is approved, HandleHQ emails a payment link for the one-time $20 setup fee.
  3. Your 7-day free trial starts after the fee is paid.
  4. Your subscription starts after the free trial ends.

So the setup fee, free trial and subscription are separate stages. As general planning advice, include the $20 setup fee in your first budget and note the date your free trial begins. You can then set a reminder for the end of the trial so you have time to review the experience before the subscription begins.

You may also want to decide who will be available during the trial, which questions to watch, and how you will judge whether the service is useful. These are general planning steps rather than HandleHQ requirements.

Planning your application

The form is short. You choose a plan and fill in your business name, what your business does, your name, email, phone and website, then tick a consent checkbox. Having these details ready helps you finish without delays.

A practical approach is to:

  • Submit accurate business information and the contact details you want HandleHQ to use.
  • Keep a note of the date and time you submit the application.
  • Watch for a reply. The founder aims to reply within one business day.
  • Avoid sending duplicate applications if you have not heard back yet.
  • Remember that the $20 setup fee is non-refundable before you pay it.
  • Note when payment is completed and when the 7-day free trial begins.
  • Add the end of the free trial to your calendar before the subscription is due to start.

The key point is that review, payment, free trial and subscription follow a set order. Approval comes first. The non-refundable $20 setup fee is charged after approval. The 7-day free trial begins after that fee is paid, and the subscription begins after the trial.
